In Vancouver Down Town, we can see a lot of buildings with green glasses. They can be seen lot especially along the seaside. Most new builidings have green glasses. Is that a trend or a regulation? I don't know but I like them because they look like a future city. Furthermore, the glasses reflect the sun, the sky, clouds, and sometimes the moon. So they often change their appearance and make us fun.
I took this picture from my balcony early this morning. The sun, clouds, and the sea created this mysterious monotone scene. How happy I am because I can enjoy such a nice view from my room! And further more, I can go into this scene on my boat whenever I want. What a lucky man I am! I have to keep the mind of gratitude.
This afternoon, I boraded hana hou (my own sailing boat) and enjoyed sailing in the English Bay. It was about two months ago when I boarded hana hou last time. After sailing I met Doug at the marena and enjoyed talking. He is the ex-owner of hana hou. I hear he was sailing to Texud Island last weekend. I want to go cruising some day near future. But before that, I have to maintain hana hou. By the way, Doug went sailing again with a box of beer.
I got the second parking decal. This is a parking permit for West End resident and having this permit I can park anywere in Downtown with the sign "No parking except permit". It costs only $56 and is valid for one year, but only the West End residents can purchase it. This is the second time I get this permit and that means I have lived in Vancouver whole a year.
We can enjoy cycling safely in the Stanley Park because the roads in the park are well maintained. There is a special way for cyclists and roller-bladers separated from pedestrians. The rules for cyclists are in fact a little bit complicated; they have to keep one way, the speed limit is 15km/h, and there are a few areas where they have to get off the bycicles. But the road signs in the Stanley Park are well designed and explicit. So even a foreign visior who cannot read English can enjoy cycling safely.
In the after noon I enjoyed cycling around the Stanley Park again. As it is weekday today, there were a few people in the park. The cycling course goes under the Lions Gate Bridge and this is one of my favorate view point. I can enjoy various view points along the course. It is far from boring.
I've started cooking in the early morning today. I'm now making hashed beef. It's easy to cook! Just slice onions, beef, and mushrooms. Boil them for 30 minutes, then add the instant roux. Time makes it more delicious and tasty.
Yesteday I got the old broken analogue speed meter repaired. It cost C$140! I could buy NAVIMAN (digital depth and speed meter), but the analogue meter has a nice taste, so I'm satisfied.
I often have cereal for breakfast. Plain cornflakes with milk and maplesyrup are delicious and healthy menu.
