What do you think this advertisement for? A strange device is on the little girl's arm and she is smiling. The Japanese words can read, "No pain, not hot! It's safe even for children's skin." Can you guess? When I found it first in the central Naha City, I thought it was a promotion of removable tatto or something, but I was wrong. It's an advertising display of a depilatory device. Sure, Okinawanese have darker skin with thicker hair compared with average Japanese people, but is there any child who needs hair removable? I think it's too dangerous. The advertiser might have intended to say that the device is so safe that even a child can use it. However, I think it's inadequate because not a few girls will think that they want or have to remove their hair.
