The year 2008 has come. I like this new year's mood in Japan. It's more holiday here than in Canada; a lot of people are going back to their home town and Tokyo is most quiet in the year round. It's quite calm around me except in TV programs which are especially noisy and stupid in this season. We can easily get the quiet world only by turning off the TV. I'm thinking about spending my time in doing my job which I left undone last year. I hope to complete my belated tasks in this week. It's not that I have changed my ways, but that I just want to enjoy this spring after finishing all my to do's. I learned last year that it is not a good idea to do only what I like before what I dislike.
Hello,
I've been following your blog since 2005 after we crossed Canada in car from Montréal to Tofino. My husband found it looking for pictures of trains to show our little boy ! We loved your pictures of Vancouver.
It's very interesting also to follow your coming back to Japan after staying in another country. We should all try this, not to take things for granted and be more open minded to foreigners !
Have a great year 2008.

Thank you for your comment. I'm very happy to know that I have a reader who has been following my blog for years. 9 months have passed since I came back to Tokyo from Vancouver and I feel myself to have become more or less closed minded. I think I have to reopen my eyes to everything around me.
