TRANSLINK is the transit authority covering the Greater Vancouver area and is running buses, Skytrain and Seabus. Today I bought a one day ticket for $8. With the ticket we can travel around the Greater Vancouver whole a day as far as we like. I covered the whole line of Skytrain and enjoyed a round-turn trip to North Vancouver. I also got in a bus and ran the familiar streets in Downtown. Looking around the familiar places from the new point of view was really exciting. It is almost four years since I came to Vancouver and it was my first experience to use the public transport system which was a well designed network and was simpler than I had expected. I had been thinking that living in this city without a car is very difficult, but I have to admit that I was wrong. Vancouverian can go wherever they like without a car because they have these great feet. I got my car as soon as I came into this city and it made my life very pleasant and convenient, but I feel I had lost something valuable.
