I woke up at 3:00 in the morning. Precisely speaking, I didn't sleep at all after going to bed at 1:00 am because I kept consciousness all the while I was in bed. Anyway, I packed up some clothes and my notebook PC in five minutes and left my room in Vancouver before 4:00 am. It was severely raining, but my mood was so-so because I was thinking that I could change my rather depressed, rainy mood into the blue sky in California. I proceeded my car to the south in the rain just like washing my car and it was before 6:00 when I arrived at the border where I was forced to waste more than one hour. As I had no reservation for the hotel in the U.S. except for the first night, the officer asked lots of lots of questions and investigated all the things I had including my purse and the suitcase. To tell the truth, I had been rather optimistic about crossing the border, but I re-recognized that it is very serious and sometimes even scary even if we have nothing to be ashamed of. The first day of my trip was mostly in the car and I drove more than 1,000 km, therefore I had no special experience to be written in blog. This is the only picture I took at Vancouver in the U.S. It's quite common in the English speaking world that there are lots of cities who shares the same name, but I didn't know that another Vancouver is located in such a place in the U.S. which is not far from my Vancouver.
