When I was walking around Downtown yesterday, I came across a mounted police officer on a side street near Davie. We can often see them around Stanley Park or when some events are held in Downtown, but it's rare to see them on a back street on a weekday. The officer was a young lady who rode her horse extremely slowly. Every one on the street, including me, was stopping and watching what she was doing. Suddenly, she or her horse turned back and started walking back to the main street. We noticed that she was just practicing horse riding. The footsteps of her horse were so easygoing and peaceful that we couldn't help smiling at her. What a difference from overbearing police cars!
