My family came to Vancouver from Tokyo this Sunday and we are traveling around together for a week. We went to Squamish, Victoria and Point Roberts in addition to Vancouver. Plus, we are flying to Calgary to drive around Rocky Mountains. It seems to me a crazy and busy schedule, but it is a typical Japanese traveling style. We have to visit popular tourist spots as many as possible in a limited time. I usually won't do this kind of traveling by myself because I don't like to be busy, but it's sometimes interesting if I look upon it as a game in which we have to enjoy as much as possible in a week.
It might be or might not be a good tendency, though. Japanese tend to make things efficient. Tourism is not an exception for them. When they make an itinerary they consider as for how many sightseeing spots can visit in the limited period of time.
However, I think you were exited about the game. I think it is because your DNA have an element of “efficiency,” which characterizes Japanese behavior styles.
I started my own BLOG. Also I stroll around BLOGs written in English. I will make some comments to your interesting articles sometimes. See you again soon.
