The south east area of Vancouver Downtown is called Yaletown. It used to be a warehouse district until decades ago, but now it has changed into the most trendy, fashionable, and convenient-to-live place. Old warehouses were renovated as cutting edge restaurants and bars, or top design shops. Lots of high-rise condominiums are built on the water front looking down the great city and sea view. It looks like a future city in the picture book which I looked at in my childhood except for that there are no floating car running in a transparent tube. Sure Yaletown is a good place to live in, but still I prefer Westend area where I'm living now. The main reason for that is there are more greens in Westend because it is closer to Stanley Park. I think Yaletown is a more artificial town and lacks the smell of nature.
