Heavy dust

I have been cleaning my room since I came back to Vancouver last Monday, but it won't get clean yet. I feel that the situation is even getting worse. I turned off the ceiling fan which had been on for more than three months when I found heavy dust on it. The air in Vancouver is much cleaner than Tokyo, though dust exists all over the world, plus I have lots of electric gadgets which create static gathering more dust. I was thinking I could finish this cleaning by the end of this month, which turned out to be impossible. I wonder if I could keep my room always clean.
