I found this sign board in front of a park near my house in Tokyo. It says "You can't take your dog in this park. Motor bikes are prohibited either." In most parks in Tokyo dogs are not allowed to enter because the park managers hate dogs' crap. As you know there are few places in this city which are not paved. It means that dogs cannot walk on clay or grass. It's really hard for even dogs to live in Tokyo. What a difference comparing with the happy dogs in Vancouver which can run and swim in Stanley Park.
I'm always thinking about this problem. I've been to Stanley Park some times and saw people walking a dog there. Though there is a beautiful and wide park near my house in Matsuyama, walking a dog is not permitted there. I sended e-mails to the city officer asking for the permission. However, they were rejected. The level of the civilization might be immature.
