As you know this is the McDonald's golden arch logo. We can see it everywhere around the world, but please take a close look at this picture. There's a small, red maple leaf. When I first found it a few years ago, I thought that someone had added it on the logo sign. I was wrong because almost all the McDonald's have this small maple leaf at the center of the golden arch. I don't know the reason for it, but someone said that this is the Canadian's self-assertion that they are different from the U.S. I don't want to say anything about the Canadian's assertion but what I want to say about this logo is that it is not a good design. The maple leaf is too small and looks unbalanced.
