These couple of days in Vancouver, the air has been smoky because of burning bog fires in Delta. No one was killed by the fire but it smelt a little, just like the smell of a campfire. According to the radio news, quite a few people are complaining about their trouble in their breathing and eyes. I don't think it's so terrible because I was born and grew up in Tokyo. The cause of the fire hasn't been revealed and the fire hasn't ceased. My pilot friend said that a lot of water bombers, large seaplanes for fire-fighting, were flying busily around the Delta area. I'm worrying a lot about whether my flight lesson will be interfered with by air traffic congestion.

I don't have accurate information about Burns Bog now, but I think it ceased a few days ago because we can fly over Delta with no smoke.
