Pride Parade

I was awaken by the noise outside of the window when I realized I had overslept. It was the day of Pride Parade which closed the road in front of my apartment. I don't know exactly what Pride Parade is except that it is related to gay communities in Vancouver. I was thinking about going out in my car in the afternoon but I was blocked, plus it was so noisy that I couldn't do anything even in my room. I was forced to spend two to three hours in my room in vain just waiting for the parade finish. Although there were a lot of people parading and watching it on the road, I don't understand what is so interesting.

Baby ducks

When I was cycling around Stanley Park yesterday, I found these baby ducks on the lake side. They were so cute that I was watching them for a while stopping my bicycle aside. They looked like sleeping and were sometimes shaking their bodies slightly. In a short distance from them, bigger ducks were eating something. I think they must be their parents. If it were in Tokyo, these parents and children ducks would be TV stars. In fact several years ago, parents and children ducks in the center of Tokyo were repeatedly reported in the TV news and quite a few people gathered to watch them. But, this is in Vancouver. They can live their lives in the nature circumstances without being disturbed by people or other enemy animals. They are lucky.
