Today it was raining in the morning, however I had a booking at Granville Island Marina for lifting up my boat. I sailed there with my friend. It was just a five minute way from my marina but I had to wait for more than one month because the lifting up service was incredibly busy. The marina staff waiting for us and as soon as we got there, he lifted up my boat with a special huge crane with four wheels. He then washed the bottom of my boat with pressure water. Shells and sea weeds were easily peeled off the bottom. After checking the slight leak point around the joint between the keel and the bottom, we painted the bottom thrice. It was an easy job and between the light job, we enjoyed drinking beer thrice! We left the boat on the ground tonight to dry it up and we are going to lift it down tomorrow morning. I hope the leaking stops and I can enjoy more pleasant cruising.
