Most rivers are covered with concrete in Tokyo. Some of them are buried underground to save the land space. I hate this unnatural scenary of Tokyo. I think it's ugly and even dangerous. If there was much rain, the rivers would be filled to capacity and would flood. I don't know why they are covered with concrete, but the government says that they are protected so as not to burst. It's ridiculous! The truth is that big money is moving around the construction of the rivers.
