Last night I enjoyed the first fireworks this year in my friend's room. His room has a great view. It is on the 24th floor of an apartment on Davie. It is a corner room which faces south west. So we can see North and West Vancouver, Liongs Gate Bridge, Stanley Park, Downtown Vancouver, and the English Bay at the same time. More than fifteen people gathered in his room and enjoyed a potluck party and the fireworks. The room was so high that we didn't need to look up the fireworks, we saw them at our eye level. A few buildings on the beach shut out the lower part of the set pieces, and they looked like being exploded in the flame of the fireworks.
